Competitive Opportunities
Beyond our research projects, and as originally intended in the club's founding, members are prepared for and encouraged to join our competitive teams. These competitions provide an opportunity to represent UCLA on a national level against other top schools.
The FED Challenge
Those interested in the FED Challenge will apply for ECON 187 with Professor Surro. The selected students will spend the quarter learning about monetary policy, and some will be chosen to represent UCLA in the challenge the following fall. UCLA has finished top six in every FED Challenge including a third place finish in 2023.
Fiscal Challenge
Our team for the 2025 Fiscal Challenge was selected for the final round. The team was flown out to Washington D.C. to pitch their presentation, finishing Top Four in the competition!
