UCLA's Undergraduate Economic Think Tank
Bruin Reserve
Bank
A UCLA-affiliated Economic Group Focused on Exploring Macroeconomics And Producing Principal Economic Research.
Bruin Reserve Bank looks to educate UCLA students on monetary policy and prepare them for national economic challenges and careers in economic-related fields. Our main mission is to succeed in national competitions, promote an open discussion on economic policy, and motivate our members to explore economic professions. We've placed fifth nationally in the College Fed Challenge as well as placed first in our region. During the off-season, the organization produces research newsletters, invites economic professionals to speak to its members, and provides instruction on economic and statistical techniques.
What We Do
Our research newsletters are composed of research papers compiled by club members. This provides an opportunity to engage with topics of your liking and practice the skills necessary for competitions. Projects are organized by a project lead who delegates responsibilities among project members.

The original founding of our club was to prepare UCLA students for competition in the FED Challenge. Now, we not only help students prepare for that team, but also participate in other competitions. We have had recent success in the Fiscal Challenge, providing a different experience from our normal monetary policy focus.
